Abstract:
The paper attempts to uncover one of the most important facets of the Igbo cultural past. The author has set his novels in the past purposely to show the fact that the colonizers were not the harbingers of peace and civilization. The article traces the historically and politically hidden reasons for the writing of the novel, Things Fall Apart.
