Tales of Disorderly Bodies Transsexuality in Bornsteins Memoir, Revathis Life Story, and Ebershoffs Novel Through The Disability Lens and Sexual Textual Consonance
Name of Author :
M. Sasi Prabha
Abstract:
The study focus is on the narrative motifs that appear in these texts while describing the multiple complications that pervade the lives of a person or people who do not fit the definition of heteronormativity. These discussions must take the shape of comparative analyses that highlight the plurality or fluidity required in discourses of and about sexual minorities while also aiding in reflection on the textual connections between the texts. Since this comparison may lead to individualized possibilities of existing outside of gender and sexuality norms, this is why a key component of the article is the dialogic spaces for doing so. The realm of queer theory is the third major concern of the study, and this interest involves a discussion of how the textual insights compare to or differ from those derived from such theoretical discourses. This article aims to investigate non normative sexualities and gender identities with a particular interest in the peculiar way that some ideas from the discipline of disability studies offer an explanatory theoretical framework for transsexual experiences.
