Significant Development in Indian English Literature A Critical Analysis

Abstract: Indian writing in English literature has produced a vast variety of enthralling characterization and description of India and its people. More than 200 years the British controlled India, nationalism, mother tongues and culture were encouraged and supported. Therefore, using the English language and literature, the writers attempted to present a true picture of India to the rest of the world. Indo English Literature and Indian Writing in English are some of the labels that Indian English authors have coined to describe this genre of literature.
