A Study on Environmental Attitude of College Students

Abstract: All human being in the world directly or indirectly influence of the whole ecosystem. All Human society is playing importance role in declining the natural environment. A clean environment is necessary for the all living things. Main focus of this study was to investigate the environmental attitude at general degree college students of Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar district of West Bengal in respect to their gender, stream of studies,area of residence. For this, the survey method was used to take the data from 200 college students of Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar District through using purposive sampling technique. Environmental Attitude scale constructed and validated by Dr. Hassen Taj (2001) was applied for data collection. The Collected data were analyzed with the help of descriptive and inferential statistics like; mean, SD, t-test, ANOVA through SPSS. The result of this study reveals that environmental attitude of the Students is free from influence of their gender, stream of studies and their area of residence.
