Abstract:
Diasporic writings in the manner of creation and production are not only on the stories of the displaced and distant nationals who are marking their existence in a foreign land. It is more of a discursive subject of how things change within the new space and culture, what is their manner of acceptance and how narration is created within the timeline of cultural reproduction in themicro-culture of the suburbs, which includes the amalgamation of the former and the new, the contrasting ideological of the first and second generation, etc, Jhumpa Lahiri and Kiran Desai, explores two different points of view in their assertion of the predicament of the diasporic culture, both within the inter-nation and intra-nation.
