A Study on Moopan of Western Ghats: An Overview

Abstract:
India is one of the countries in the Asian continent. It has the largest population of the tribes in the world. It has more than 84.4 million tribes. India has both Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats. The Western Ghats are known as ‘The Mountain of Patience’. It is a mountain range which stretches an area of 1,600 kilometres parallel to the western coast of India. It traverses through the states of Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The famous Konkan railway passes through the Western Ghats. Moreover, Western Ghats have several tribes including Moopan.
