Writing Short Story Through Movie Learning Strategy in Indonesian Subject

Abstract:
This research is motivated by the difficulty of students in compiling ideas / ideas into a writing, especially short stories. Based on the observations of students in class IXA SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo, it is known that the low learning outcomes of students in learning to write short stories are because: (1) it is difficult to determine themes, (2) it is difficult to get inspiration and ideas, and (3) it is difficult to develop and processing sentences into stories. This research raises the problem, namely how the efforts to improve short story writing skills through the movie learning strategy of class IX A students of SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo can be increased. The purpose of this study was to describe the efforts to improve short story writing skills through the movie learning strategy of class IX A students of SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were 31 students of class IXA SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo 2019/2020 academic year. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, observations, and interviews. The results of the research on students of SMP Negeri 1 Wonomulyo, experienced a good increase from the learning outcomes of the first cycle to the second cycle, with the standard competency value of the KKM score of 70. 57.10 with the level of completeness of the learning outcomes of the first cycle. amounted to 19.35% and 80.65% incomplete. While in cycle II the average value of student learning outcomes is 79.19 with a level of completeness of learning outcomes in cycle II of 100%. The average value of cycle I and cycle II has increased. Based on the results of the research and discussion described, it can be concluded that the use of the movie learning strategy in writing short stories can improve student learning outcomes.
