Sustainable Interior Design and Net Zero Emissions in Architecture: Strategies for a Carbon Neutral Future
Name of Author :
Dr. Sangeeta
Abstract:
The growing urgency of climate change has intensified the focus on achieving Net Zero Emissions in architecture and interior design. This paper explores sustainable design strategies that contribute to carbon neutrality in built environments, emphasizing energy efficient materials, passive design techniques, and renewable energy integration. By examining case studies of sustainable interior spaces, the research highlights innovative approaches that reduce embodied and operational carbon. Furthermore, it discusses the role of technology, such as AI driven energy modeling and circular economy principles, in minimizing waste and promoting resource efficiency. The paper also addresses policy frameworks and industry standards that guide architects and interior designers toward Net Zero Emissions goals. Through a multidisciplinary lens, this study underscores the critical role of interior design in creating environmentally responsible spaces that align with global sustainability targets.
