Abstract:
Mitch Albom is one of those rare writers who have been gifted by God with a creative mind, deep thinking ability and catchy expressions. His extensive reading and touching presentations distinguish him from ordinary writers and he stands as a tall and towering personality in the world of fiction. Critics have hailed him as a perfect artist who has done a masterful job. His literary works are sure to live in the minds of the readers for many centuries. The First Phone Call from Heaven is essentially a discussion of voice, its varieties and its impact on the members of a society. While an ordinary reader will miss the multilayered significance of the various voices mentioned in the novel, a careful reader will not fail to notice how cleverly the artist has intertwined the character of the speaker with his voice.
