Legal Perspective Related to Honour Killing

Abstract:
. The practice of honour killing is still prevalent in many states of India and more so in rural areas. Killing a person is a crime then honour killing is even more a crime and an unacceptable and unforgivable crime. In this paper, I am discussing the causes and reasons for honour killing, the legal protection against honour killing, the role of judiciary in upholding the justice, and the ways and means to put an end to the practice of honour killing.
