The New York Time’s book review has commanded Bapsi Sidhwa as Indo-Pakistan s first English language novelist and distinguished international writer. Sidhwa was born in Karachi in 1939. She was brought up and educated in Lahore. She lives in America but she travels frequently to the Indian sub-continent.
