Empowerment of Tribal Women in India

Abstract:
Literally the term Empowerment implies to invest with power. Indian social system is patriarchal. So women are detached from different business. But if we study the qualities that are exited in them, we will understand that it is necessary to bring them into the main stream. But before bringing them into the main stream, it is necessary to make awareness in them and to make them economically powerful. In accordance with that efforts at government level are very important for women empowerment. For inclusion of fifty percent women in every field, women reservation is an important step and collective efforts are also necessary for making women economically powerful. This paper try to focus on Empowerment of women is one of the concepts that has developed in connection with improving their status. Empowerment includes higher literacy levels, education, better healthcare, equal ownership of productive resources, increased participation in economic and commercial sectors, awareness of rights and responsibilities, improved standards of living, self-reliance, self-esteem and self-confidence.
