Feminism and Women Empowerment

Abstract: Almost every country, no matter how progressive has a history of ill-treating women. Women have suffered a lot through the years at the hands of men. In earlier centuries, they were treated as almost non-existent. All the rights belonged to men even something as basic as voting. Even women were not allowed to make decisions for them. Then women empowerment came in like a breath of fresh air. Women empowerment is a tool which facilitates feminism. Feminism allows equal opportunities for both sexes. Equality for women doesnt mean less equality for men. Feminism is not about to degrade or ignore one gender. It’s about gender equality, equal opportunities for both men and women.
