Feminism – A Recurrent & Misinterpreted Topic?
Name of Author :
M Sahana
Abstract:
This research paper focuses on how Feminism, a recurrent topic that has been debated for years still needs to be practised. The paper throws light on how we as a part of the patriarchal society need to change ourselves and should be Feminists as discussed in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichies essay We Should All Be Feminists. The writer strikes hard on the reality of the society in which women are marginalized so casually and needs Gender equality to be practised. The man-made culture stands as the set of patriarchal ideas which has been practised for centuries guiltlessly. The writer in a light hearted way explains how feminism is often misinterpreted as women’s rule over men but in real it is all about the social, economic and political equality of the sexes.
