Conversion and Adaptation in Barbara Kingsolver’s Flight Behaviour.

Abstract:
Ecofeminism is a new interdisciplinary which connects feminism with environment. Barbara Kingsolver is one of the eminent American ecocritical writers who has used ecofeminism as a theme in her works. This paper is been focused on the transformation induced by nature as depicted by Barbara Kingsolver in her novel, Flight Behaviour. This paper brings out the conversion which takes place in the life of the female protagonist, Dellarobia due to nature and the adaptation of monarchs to climate change which coincides with the development of Dellarobia’s life. The novelist brings out a different relationship experienced by Dellarobia with the nature. She discovers herself after a miraculous encounter with nature.
