Name of Author :

Abstract:
Writing skill is one among the unique language skill which is used in the formal way of communication. It needs most cautious construction of idea to deliver the appropriate message. Writing skill has been given importance in school curriculum itself. It requires more cognitive ability, grammatical exposure, and acquaintance of rules of writing; so the students find it as a more difficult skill to be acquired. The complex nature of the skill leads to loss of interest in learning it. The teacher can use scaffolding instruction as a strategy to improve the writing skill of the students. Scaffolding is one of the successful instruction model used widely by many educators around the world. It provides support for learning and gradual removal of support rendered when the students are able to accomplish their learning tasks independently. The scaffolding instruction will be successful when it satisfies the need of diverse learners. This could be possible by using multisensory approach which engage all the senses of the learner during the leaning process and yield fruitful results. This paper explores the strategies for strengthening writing skill through scaffolding instruction by blending multi-sensory approach.
