Exploring the Excruciation Savagery in Mahesh Dattanis Thirty Days in September

Abstract:
This paper explores the effects of sexual harassment in child. It is the most dehumanizing savagery out of physical violence. The play Thirty Days in September fully loaded with pains and breath-taking scenes to frame the horrible pain of a child. It depicts the distressed life of a girl child Mala Khatri is abused by her own maternal uncle Vinay. The child feels a deep sense of betrayal when her mother keep silence for the abuse. At the end of the play Mala comes to know that her mother Shanta too sexually abused by her own brother Vinay. It exposes the mental agony of a child and how it alters her life after taking counselling section. Dattani express his protest against this child abuse and asks the parents to be careful even with the close relatives.
