Name of Author :
Ms. Aiswarya Thamanna, Dr. R Subramani
Abstract:
Social media emerged as a result of technological advancements, and individuals eventually began to use it as a communication medium. The purpose of this study is to examine rural married womens social media usage to determine how much freedom they have when using social media apps. Additionally, whether they have time to spend on social media and, more importantly, for what purposes, as well as whether their usage of social media causes any issues in their family life. In the Salem district of Tamil Nadus Palaikalai Nagar village, 50 married women were collected using a purposive sampling technique. A constant comparative method is used to examine the data collected from an In-depth interview. For this research, the socio-technological model functioned as a theoretical framework for this study.
