A Comparative Study of two novels depicting nature as the main plot - Aranyak: Bengali, Samudrantike: Gujarati

Abstract:
Generally speaking the practice of novel-reading is good or bad is according to circumstances. There is indeed a class of licen¬tious novels, the reading of which can only produce injurious effects. Whereas, the novels by its creation are the source of immense knowledge and reflections and guiding force. Novels depict the incidence as and when time permits, it also fascinates the readers with time line of the incidents. It also reflects the mindset of the author and time in which the author experiences the events. The events assist the readers to reflect and compensate the incidents and evidences. The present paper is an attempt to understand and reflect over two novels of different languages that is Aranyak: Bengali, Samudrantike: Gujarati, through these novels the author has made the attempts to understand the writing pattern of the authors, understanding and socio-cultural dimensions of the time. The author has made an attempt to understand significance of time and relevance of the incidents to portray the thought provoking experiences.
