Struggle, Sufferings and Survival of the Marginalized in Ishmael Beah’s Little Family

Abstract:
Marginalized people are voiceless. They are oppressed in the society. They struggle and suffer for their survival. Ishmael Bean is a Sierra Leone born American writer. His works are set in the background of Sierra Leone Civil War. Through his works, he explores the political, social and economic condition of Sierra Leone. His novel Little family deals with the theme of survival, class domination, power and corruption. The objective of this paper is to explore the struggle and suffering of the marginalized people. It also pictures the condition of Sierra Leone people after a disaster.
