Abstract:
The ever-evolving South Asian Civilization has as its sources indigenous elements of prehistoric origin and elements borrowed from the cultures represented by successive waves of invaders over more than four millennia. It is important to consider a works cultural setting. Culture can refer to the beliefs, values, activities and customs of a particular group of people at a particular time. “The End of India”- a groaning response by Khushwant Singh born in 1915, was an Indian author and his experience in the 1947 Partition of Indiainspired him to write “Train to Pakistan” which became his most well known novel. He was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan in 1974.He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in 2007. “The End of India” is bawdy, lovable raconteur-turned-doomsayer.
