Corona Pandemic 2020 Struggle of India with Online Education

Abstract:
The aggressive blow of pandemic worldwide has not only shocked the medical science, commerce and daily mass- life but also hurled a severe blow to the idea of traditional mode of teaching and learning. The revolution already ushered in with distance mode of learning , and online education is not altogether a new concept . But it is also evident the recognition of online education in India before pandemic of 2020 was smoggy. The gruesomeness and uncertainty of its extensive period forced the government and educationists to think over the new way to combat against the suspension of teaching and learning, to not deprive the millions of students in India from the opportunity and pleasure of education. The augmentation of the web of internet and the surging demand of high- technology facilitated smart- phones have paved the way to re-consider the theory of online education and various educational institutions , especially in the strata of higher education have actualized it in reality. But with passing of the days , this newly popularized mode of teaching- learning seems entwining with considerable significant issues and challenges in the country like India where poverty and malnourishment is itself a great threat . As it is envisioned as one of the mode of education in near future across the globe , it requires the special attention on the part of education department of India to go with the rhythm of world education. The paper aims to scrutinize these problems in detail faced by the participants in the sub-continent that will also aid the government of India to adopt the suitable measures and new educational policies to smoothen the education of the next generation
