Name of Author :
Abirami S
Abstract:
Life is manifested in the form of literature. Literature in the present generation still exists as an expression of art, source of knowledge and as an instrument of refreshment. Everything that happens within a society can be written, recorded in and learned from a piece of literature, whether it can be prose or poetry, literature provides insight knowledge or wisdom and emotions towards the person who partakes it entirely. The color purple, the well known novel by Alice Walker illustrates the dehumanization of women. The color purple touches on the difficulty of African Americans experienced such as male domination, oppression and women abusement.
