Covid-19 Pandemic and Medical Professionalism: Necessary Protection or License to Kill

Abstract:
Pandemic is akin to a battlefield although there may not be any active use of traditional weapons artillery and battle tanks, still, people are dying because of the minuscule particle not visible to naked eyes that occupy human body living its vital organs dysfunctional in a jiffy. Like soldiers on the battlefield, medical professionals form an essential part of an effective response to the pandemic. A medical professional, by virtue of the powers vested to him because of skills, knowledge and training is obliged to follow an ethical code of conduct. To make medical professionals more responsible, accountable, and quick-witted in the pandemic for the noble cause of humanity; is only and only possible when they are subject to strict legal control.
