Casteism in Indian Cultural values – Narratives and Counter Narratives: A Penetration through Indian Literature
Name of Author :
Jjieesh T K
Abstract:
Casteism has been a non ending discussion throughout Indian history. In casteism social roles like ones profession become hereditary, resulting in restricted social mobility and fixed status hierarchies. Many argue that it has vedic roots and some others disagree this argument so, narrations and counter narrations are going on still. A penetration over this complicated subject is only possible by a deeper analysis of Vedic texts itself.
