Experiences of Humiliation among Dalit Males

Abstract:
It is a highly complex and largely unexplored phenomenon, and it easily confuse us with discrimination, rejection and degradation etc. it takes different forms and varies in degrees depending on the specific nature of the social context. A person can humiliate others by words, gestures and actions and even by simple silence. The entity of humiliation covers a broad range. It obviously includes individuals, even also groups. It involved violating an individuals self respect and demeaning or belittling him in his own and or others eyes. Humiliation can be seen in different forms in different parts of establishment of modern society. Humiliation has different meanings on the basis of specific socio-cultural contexts. The context of humiliation may have different forms like shame, disgust, discrimination, degradation and segregation etc. Differences in caste, religion, gender, age, and other status considerations are all separate categories related to the prevalence of insults.
