Purusharthas in Vedic philosophy – Finding Meaning in Meaninglessness and Existence in Existential Crisis

Abstract:
Human beings are thinking creatures. So, he / she cant escape from disturbing big questions about human life and existence. Human mind may blow upside down sometimes by many confusing questions. Those questions should be answered judiciously, otherwise she/he may face great existential crisis in life. An existential crisis often occurs after major life events, such as career and job change, death of a loved one, diagnosis of a serious life-threatening illness, experiencing a tragic or traumatic experience, divorce etc. This existential crisis often be associated with the negative impact in ones life. In other way, an existential crisis is an opportunity too to get back in touch with it our values, meaning and purpose, and with that what we want to make our lives.This can be evaluated, plan and adapt our actions and directions in order to lead the life we want and will be happy with. Here is the importance of all comprehensiveness in Upanishad teaching-learning and purusharthas in it.
