Exploitation of Nature: A Prism of Transformation in Kavery Nambisan’s A Town Like Ours

Abstract:
Nature plays an important role for all living beings.Without Nature people cannot survive in the universe.For last few decades it produces remarkable changes in all parts of the world.Nature is basically related to environment,because it helps to improve the standard of living ,wealth and rootout poverty.It provides unlimited resources to all living beings in the earth.When the Exploitation of natural resources start it affects the environment in many ways like drought,cyclone,earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic eruption, and landslides.Man-Made cause is the basic reason for these effects. In this novel A Town Like Ours Nambisan clearly describes the condition of the town before and after the establishment of the factories.An imaginary town called Pingakshipura is very rich and blessed with nature.After the developement of Sugandha Enterprises the village transforms into artifical town.As a consequence younger generation have their white hair at very early.The natural village turns into a beautiful town but it produces trauma in many lives.This paper aims to bringout the exploitated condition of town in Kavery Nambisan’s A Town Like Ours
