Name of Author :

Abstract:
Ernest Hemingway, the 1954 Nobel Laureate in Literature, has made important contributions to the literary world through his wide-ranging writings. He led an unpredictable life, the former of which was somewhat illusionary until he was injured in the Warfield. After that, he went back home and started to pursue writing as a career. He produced some magnificent works of fiction, but his masterpiece, The Old Man and the Sea, earned him the respect he deserved. The Old Man and the Sea depicts a world where love, mercy, charity, and justice cannot exist unless man can maintain his courage. Man and beast only thrive in this environment and perform at their best when acting bravely. This paper explores the subject of human relationships with reference to Santiago and Manolin and their interdependence on one another. It does so by drawing on a variety of subjects, including the struggle of an individual, the influence of natural elements in ones life, biblical allegories, etc. It focuses on how their bonding helps them both shares which keeps them struggle better in life.
