Abstract:
Nadia Hashimi’s “A House Without Windows” is a frightening and a haunting tale of struggle and egalitarianism. It brings out the grim reality of women under torments of men and the impediments to adhere to the norms of the Taliban rule. The novel highlights the plight of women living in the “graveyard of empires” viz. Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a country that has encountered more than four decades of war and vulnerability. Every men and women in the country agonizes from the ramification of destitution, economic predicaments, psychological problems, ruthlessness and trauma.
