Transitional Ordeal from Self-Loathing to Self-Love in Mia Violets Yes, You Are Trans Enough
Name of Author :
Dr. Disha khanna, Dr. Mahesh Dogra
Abstract:
In this mechanised world, very easily humans have the tendency to detest and consider themselves as worthless. They consider themselves not to be good enough and their own comparisons with the others invite the feeling of self-loath within themselves. The memoir Yes, You Are Trans Enough by Mia Violet is a true instance of the phenomenal transition from Self-Loathing to Self-Love of a trans character. Mia Violet is a stupendous writer and transgender blogger, who at the age of 26 realised that she, was trans enough to be transgender and how trans people suffer biasedness at the hands of the mere hoi polloi especially the media bodies. Mia Violet very flamboyantly bespeaks about the bullying, heartache and the persistent counselling sessions of the transgender community. The research ordeal in hand, will not only showcase the bitter veracities of being a trans woman - from rigorous victimization and relentless endeavours of coming out of the cumbersome phase to self-acceptance and adoration - whilst unravelling the imprecisions of trans representation and oppose what the media has depicted it inappropriately. The research paper showcases Yes, You Are Trans Enough as grandeur merriment of trans people and their tales spiced up continuous admonitions about the perils of toxic narratives as portrayed in the media.
