Name of Author :
V Smiley Rosiana Bessy, K Rama Tejaswini
Abstract:
This research paper explores the pivotal role that fairy tales play in fostering cognitive development in children, with a particular focus on their contribution to moral reasoning. Fairy tales have long captivated the imagination of young readers and are a fundamental component of childhood literature. Drawing upon classic tales such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood, this research delves into the cognitive intricacies presented within these stories. The analysis reveals how these narratives provide a rich cognitive landscape, encouraging readers to engage in critical thinking, problem-solving, and pattern recognition. The exploration of moral reasoning emerges as a central aspect of cognitive development within the fairy tale realm. Through the lens of these timeless tales, this research paper sheds light on the transformative journey of young readers as they navigate the cognitive landscapes of fairy tales, expanding their cognitive horizons while honing their moral reasoning skills.
