Dystopian Realms Unveiled in Prayag Akbars Leila and Odafe Atoguns Tadunos Song
Name of Author :
M. Maria Juliet Rani, Dr. B.Beneson Thilagar Christadoss
Abstract:
The main idea of this paper is to examine how power has impacted and obliterated the lives of individuals. One of the dominant strategies is the establishment of social hierarchy. The authoritative society in the dystopian setup expects the people in the totalitarian setup to follow the governing laws and principles. The sad reality is the particular totalitarian political system that affects and restricts peoples freedom and personal lives. Subsequently, the particular governments enforcement begins to indirectly wreck their lives. Leila 2017 by Prayag Akbar and Tadunos Song 2016 by Odafe Atogun illustrate many facets of dystopian cruelty. The dogma of the system attempts to stifle the characters from the respective novels. For the last few decades, contemporary dystopian authors have depicted speculative types of concepts in their novels. These two novels show how the two main characters are severely impacted by bureaucratic oppression and the cruelty of a futuristic society. However, these two modern authors discuss dystopian inhumanity in their works with courage, despite the fact that they are from different countries.
