Name of Author :

Abstract:
Easterine Kires novels A Terrible Matriarchy and Mari provide a detailed exploration of Naga society, focusing on gender based violence, chauvinism, economic empowerment, and healthcare. The study explores the resilience of Naga women, particularly Mari, who overcome societal constraints and the ravages of war. By examining Kires work, A Terrible Matriarchy, I intricately portray the journey of Delineo, a young girl coming of age within the traditional Angami society.
