Abstract: Literature is an enigmatic device that shapes people, language, caste and creed. It is truly a wonder, as it connects every nook and corner of the world. It is a pragmatic phenomenon where one can express his or her ideas, opinions and differences. It is a mysterious path in the wilderness where one has the authority to choose his or her field of destination. This fantastic destination can evoke in a person either a better understanding of the world or it rejects the preoccupied prejudices of a person in any field. The fascinating drama Kanyadaan by the Indian playwright Vijay Tendulkar explores literature from various perspectives. This magnificent drama is translated into English by an Indian journalist and writer, Gowri Ramnarayan. This paper aims to unveil the different perspectives of literature through the drama Kanyadaan by Vijay Tendulkar.
