Name of Author :
Diana Agnes, Dr. R. Srinivasan
Abstract:
Research and education have been significantly transformed by the Internet, which plays a pivotal role, offering a multitude of benefits in how information is accessed and learning occurs. It is recognised as an indispensable tool in research and education, democratising knowledge access and fostering global collaboration. E learning is an educational strategy that gives pupils an excellent opportunity to advance their education. The primary objective of this study was to assess how students perceive the efficacy of incorporating chatbots into E Learning within the realm of secondary education. Data were gathered from 142 students between the ages of 13 and 17, representing four schools located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The findings indicated that the majority of the respondents had exposure to E Learning with chatbots. The results showed that most of the participants had experience with chatbots in e learning. The majority of students welcomed the integration of chatbots into their learning experiences primarily for the flexibility it offered, enabling them to ask an unlimited number of questions and request numerous examples, which they viewed as a valuable aid in self guided study. Nevertheless, they also pointed out a notable drawback: the reduced opportunity for peer interactions. They emphasized that classroom interactions, including discussions, raising doubts, collaborative problem solving, and brainstorming, are indispensable for gaining a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
